Internext explorer addons are not that easy to implement - that's why there are not many.
Chrome currently supports mainly javascript addons but has no own database in place for addons like firefox have. Therefore you would have to insert the galaxytool url and logon data all the time when you start Chrome. If they overcome this, there might be a chrome extension as well.

Opera&Chrome support localStorage - a way to store user settings.

"The developer signup fee is a one-time payment of $5. It is intended to   create better safeguards against fraudulent extensions in the gallery   and limit the activity of malicious developer accounts. Starting today,   this fee will be required to publish extensions, themes and soon apps in   the gallery. We are waiving the fee for developers who already   registered with the gallery (specifically before 11am PST today), so   that they can continue to update their extensions and publish new items   without paying the fee."

So you need to pay 5$, to be allowed to program addons for google chrome?  :-\

I think that the payment is to publish the extension in the gallery, I guess you could create it and just host it in the site. like you guys did with Galaxytoolbar for 0.84

And, apparently, localStorage is supported by Firefox, Opera, Chrome and IE, so it might be a better way to implement the storing of the settings anyway.
