Not uploading certain things properly
« on: 09 April 2016, 13:16:39 »
This has been an issue for some time now but it happened when we went to v6 I think. Basically the following things do not get uploaded to the gtool:

Submit hostile espionage actions - They don't get detected
Submit alliance member page - Reports no data found
Submit player messages (activity) - Does not get detected
Submit also the contents of player messages - Does not get detected

I am using:
Chrome 49.0.2623.110
gtoolbar 2.7.7
ago 6.1.0
ogame version 6.1.5

Before I wasn't so bothered but now I want to be able to track peoples activity. I'm not sure if this is something I am doing or not.

Thanks for your testing!
I could find and fix the problem for the alliance member page already and will submit a new toolbar version for this.
But first I will try to fix also the hostile espionage actions.
The player messages... I am not sure how fast I can fix them as they are now implemented with those small boxes in the lower right instead of the normal text feed.

Update: espionage activities are now also submitted as activities. (of course only with the next version which I did not trigger yet)

Thanks eX0du5 that's awesome. I look forwards to the new version.

As for player text that's not so important I guess, I dont tend to talk to enemies much :)

I have used my weekend and implemented the stuff. The most complicated part was the activity from the chatbar. You do not want to update the activity with every page load - do you? ;-)
I found a solution for this as well but I am afraid I need some intense testing before I can release it.

Update:
I tested the functionality a bit more and decided to release it now. There is not much chance that I destroyed the old functionality and I need your testing as well to find all the edge cases which I don't have in the test server environment.
I uploaded version 2.8 to Mozilla. Chrome will come somewhen later when I know that I covered the edges mentioned before.

Yes, it is still in review. Seems to take a little longer than usual.

EDIT: 13.4. Place 7 out of 25. Yesterday I was at 16 out of 25. So hopefully tonight.

EDIT: 14.4. Place 7 out of 26.... it has never taken so long yet :-(

EDIT: 15.4. Place 6 out of 31....

EDIT: 16.4. Place 6 out of 25

EDIT: 18.4. Place 3 of 22

EDIT 19.4. - YES THEY MADE IT...

Please test the version and let me know about any issues here!

Hi eX0du5

I tested the new version. Alliance overview uploads appear to work fine.

However the espionage actions do not. I get the green dot saying espionage action updated but the records do not appear in the gtool itself.

Is there anything else I should look for?

I am also getting this message on most other pages: Error in submit_single_player_chatbox:TypeError: dom_content.getElementsByClassName(...)[0] is undefined

The error is reported already but I did not manage to reproduce it in U680 because they had the wrong version - a test server with an older version than on a public server :-(
Now they have 6.1.7 and I can reproduce it :)

Regarding the espionage issue - activate the debug setting for the toolbar and you will get a bunch of text in the small window. Copy it into notepad and you can see in text form what is submitted. You may check against the content of the report and let me know any differences.

Update: download version 2.8.2 once it got reviewed by Mozilla. This should solve the issue with those error messages.

I just noticed that the chrome toolbar is updated now. Espionage actions upload correctly from Chrome
